Valentine V1 questions

This may be the dumbest question ever asked, but: If I have a detector, can I install it (not hardwire) and sucktion cup it to my windshield then take it off? I guess a better way to ask this would be, is it easily "installed" and removed? Or do I have to install it thru the pillar and all that like DEANDORSEY? im not sure what u mean. Installed, but not hardwired? The escprt 8500 X50 i have works when i plug the power cord into the power outlet and suction it to the windshield. WHen i want to move it from car to car i unsuction it and pull out the cord... Its pretty easy... The V1 just plugs in and starts working too right.

not quite sure what you are asking either, but for my passport I just have both of my cars hardwired and then move the passport between the two...never really gonna be driving both at the same time, so I thought I would save myself $300.

For portability or safety, you can easily remove it when you want to.

Stick the suction cup on the windshield, and then the detector pushes on and pulls off the mounting bracket easily when you want to remove it.

Plug the cord into the power adapter in the pocket in front of the gear shift, and pull it out when you want to.

Yes, without doing the hardwire install (such as deandorsey) you can simply use the normal cig. lighter plug and move from car to car if you want.

You could still hardwire it and be able to remove the radar detector and then just use the cig adaptor in your other vehicle...etc.
