HFL hangs up after it dials

I got a new nextel 580 and it paired fine, and I got one call in that worked. I called out to my house once and left a message but since when it dials, you hear it ring once and then it hangs up. anyone have this problem?

I have the MotorolaQ from Verizon and I have the same problem. It is not all the time, but it does happen. If you hit the talk button again and say transfer, the car will normally take back over. I can not wait to upgrade this stupid phone!!

Thanks, I have a feeling the transfer will work. The phone is still on when it happens but you cant hear anything on it either. Like the call is stuck between the two!

I don't think your phone is compatible (well, at least Acura has not verified it as a compatible phone).

Anybody looking to upgrade phones should always go here before buying one to see if the phone is compatible.

Beware, the info there is not always accurate.

It claims my phone is not even pairable, yet I can pair it and make and receive calls no problem.

Sounds like Acura needs to update their compatibility list.

i have nextel also..it's just nextel phones that give this type of problem more often than others. I have to select "use handset" and then "use bluetooth" and it reconnects

some phones have a car kit mode or a handsfree mode, check to see if your phone has that enabled when it is paired. I was having the same problem with my Nokia E65 and then once I was able to enable the car kit mode, it worked fine, no problems since.

Its Not Your Phone!!!!!

Had the same issue with my nextel I880. It would dial and then drop off the HFLor sometimes I would have the phone icon and it would say " no phones have been paired" The dealer said it was the phone but I proved them wrong when I synced up the service managers sprint razer V3 and it did the same thing. It turned out it was a faulty HFL module and the dealer replaced it for me (free under warrenty) and I never had the problem since. GAS prices are high enough no need for a new phone if it wont work in the car...my

The info on that site is accurate. Failed phones don't perform consistantly. If you have that model phone and it works for you.... super.... but the majority of people with the phone experience problems.

The 580 is a failed phone. Chances are... it will not work.
