I just wanted to pair my phone to my car..and this is what happens

-HFL system does not respond when pressing the “talk” button

-When pressing the “talk button”, it does not have any beep sound

-After pressing “talk button”, the system is stuck with the HFL system. Therefore, I cannot exit the HFL system and listen to music or use any voice recognition.

-The only way to exit the phone system is to disconnect the ground battery.

anybody knows what happened to my car all of a sudden?

 

My TL has the same problem. After that happened, every time I try to pair my phone it just locks up and I can't use the audio system again. If I pull out the fuse and reset the system, it allows me to go back into the HFL menu. If I try to delete my paired phone, it will go through completely but then if I do a list the phone is still there. I tried the system clear but the paired phone is still stuck in there. I called ACURA's HFL hotline and they told me to take it in to the dealership to get it reset.

 

If you have an '04 under warranty, take it to the dealer and they should replace the HFL. I recall reading somewhere on AZ there are known issues with the HFL in that model year.

 

I just took mine in to the dealership today to get repaired. Cost me $600 as the car is out of warranty.
