HFL Disconnect
Recently my phone has been losing connection with the HFL. I usually keep the phone in the center console and have never had any trouble previously. it's extremely intermittent, and happens for no reason whatsoever. Tonight I actually had the phone in my hand and saw the message on the phone's screen that the 'Bluetooth Signal is weak'
This leads me to believe that there's a problem with the Bluetooth in the car, but it's not solid evidence, and I'm worried that there's really no way to replicate the problem at the dealer.
BTW, the phone is a verizon Motorola e815.... anyone else experience this?

Yep, with ny SE 520a. I have to remove the phone battery, put it back, and turn on phone, then it will work again with the HFL. Mine is also very intermittent.
It's quickly becoming a pain in the butt.

I've had this issue with my Moto E815 and with my BlackBerry 7130e. I think its an issue with the car. In all situations, the Bluetooth disconnects, however the call is still connected. I just have to use the handset.
Then within about 3-5 minutes Bluetooth reconnects. It is a pain

Grrr you too? I have the E815 as well and it had been working flawlessly for the first 6 months, but about 2-3 weeks ago it started doing the same thing. If I initiate a call from the HFL it works fine, but when people try to call me it will say "You have an incoming call" and when I click the button on the HFL it will answer the call, mute the stereo for like 1 second, and then the stereo will go back to normal. If I look down at the phone, however, it is still connected and people can hear me saying "hello" but I can't hear them because their voice is only coming through the cell phone.
moto e-815 bluetooth
my moto e-815 worked fine on incoming calls until very recently, now it answers the phone but the phone stays muted and I cannot talk to anyone, what has everyone else done to correct the problem. is it the car or the phone. I have a 06 w/navi
I have samsung i730 and I have the same problem. The battery is about 80-90 and it gets disconnected. Pisses me off. I had a sony ericcson phone and it work flawlessly with many icons on the Acura display. I also had Motorola which verizon recalled that also had excellent bluetooth integration. Frustration has set-in.....

I'm having the same problem with a Blackberry 7130c. I called Acura and the lady on the phone told me that all blackberry's were having this problem recently. Bizarre as to why it's doing this. I used to have a Razr, and that worked seamlessly...
Same Here
My Treo 650 first worked perfectly. Now, it is hit and miss. Sometimes, the car will even bounce back and forth saying "Pairing Phone" then "No Phones Found" then Found Phone, then repeat from start................frustrating.
Do you also have XM radio
I had the same problem with my e815 (not handling incoming calls properly), and then it worked fine once my 3 month XM radio trial ended. I didn't think anything about it at the time, but a few months later I took advantage of the XM re-sign promotion. Once the XM was re-activated, the phone stopped answering again. It doesn't matter if I'm actually listening to the XM radio at the time or not.
Do those of you having the problem also have your XM radio activated?
As a "sometimes workaround", I find if I leave the cover open, and then manually answer the call on the phone, THEN use the HFL controls, I usually don't drop the call.

has anyone gotten a good explanation for this or a remedy? I have an '05 TL (non-navi) and a BlackBerry 8300c and it's started acting up very recently - after working without any issues for months. Today it was bouncing up and down every 20 seconds or so - connecting to the phone and then disconnecting, connecting and then disconnecting. In my case it's only lost conection to the phone 1 time (that I can recall) while I've been talking, tho. Today I wasn't talking on the phone, but I watched as the signal indicator appeared and disappeared from the dash display over and over again.
I haven't updated any phone software recently - and the car hasn't been in for service, so nothing has changed (accept the temperature outside)????

moto e-815
I took my 06 tl back to the dealer thursday and they checked it out and had to order a ecu, haven;t heard from the dealer yet when to come back for installation, will let you all know what happens.
I have an E815 too...same issues - of course, dealer is unable to replicate it. I've already replaced the phone once because i blamed it on verizon first, and they tested it and found out it was the phone.
This leads me to believe that even this time it is the phone, maybe the bluetooth onthe E815 is just a crappy one?
I usually keep my phone open so that when HFL disconnects-it wont hang up the call...

ATTENTION!!!i've seen many people complaining about the bluetooth
yes..i do too, i've got a Sony Ericcson v800..
same situation: works fine at first, then problem happens..
i first thought it was the car, but it wasn't...it was the phone
what i did was..find the newest firmware OR flash the phone
then..it went back to normal
the problem that annoys me is...if it's the firmware, how did i work in the first place?
oh well...at least it works

Guys it is possible that it maybe the phone itself. I have Motorola A630 and a Moto Bluetooth headset, and when I use it sometimes the phone would say "weak signal." This usually happens when my headset's battery is becoming weaker or alot of distortions around. I also have a SE T68i and it also happens. Maybe a firmware upgrade to our phones might fix it ??? But it hasnt happen to me while I'm using the cars HFL.
i have that problem w/my treo 650. sometimes the phone itself shuts off. when i get in the car i have to dial the phone from the phone it connects then disconnects, then I try it again and it works. Also the battery life and signal strenth do no come up on the screen, but did w/my razr and e715.
This has happened to me several times with my Treo 650. Yesterday, it switched from HFL to handset during a call and blasted me with music when it switched back to XM. I had to pick up the handset and continue the call with it. It never reconnectect with the HFL, though the phone icon never left the upper display.
If you guys want to track this... start listing firmware versions of you E815's or your Blackberries.
My "Sprint" Treo 650 with latest firmware has always worked flawlessly and still does. If you have a Treo, it's important to list at least your carrier, as they all run different firmware. The Verizon Treo 650 still has not received the Bluetooth updates the other carriers have and the VZW T650 is still NOT compatible.
Seriously if you guys want to figure out what is going on rather than just bitch start listing firmware versions and carrier. Maybe we can figure out if certain people that are having problems are at a certain firmware rev.
my $.02
Correction: Looking at the Palm site it looks like VZW just recently came out with new firmware 1.05a. It's about freakin time, only one year behind everyone else.
