I have an 04 'TL and the HFL suddenly stopped working. The "talk" button
no longer beeps when pressed, and my cell is no longer detected.
I suspect a fuse is blown. Does anyone know which fuse is for the HFL?
I can't find it in the manual.

 

According to my 06 service manual, it looks like fuse 6 or 32: both mention HFL control unit. But they also control other functions like the navi, power mirrors, audio, so if it's just the HFL probably not the fuse.

 

^^ mine didn't work on Friday on my way to dinner; then after dinner it was fine.

I guess check the cables.. has your HFL unit been replaced? I'm hoping to get mine replaced on Wednesday; it's dated 2003 and the service bulletin (B05-020) states to replace it if it's made before 9/13/2004 or somethin'

 

My '04 manual shows interior lights and ACC for 6 & 32. The ACC I suppose
stands for accessories (obvious now). That might be the one...thanks

The HFL has never been replaced. I didn't realize that there was a service
bulliten for it. The car is still under warranty, I just didn't want to take it
in for just a blown fuse.

Never saw a blown fuse, so I took it into the dealer.
They had to special order the HFL module, but it took about 15 minutes
to swap in the new one.

 

Guess it was hungry. My daughter gets that way too.
