Well I owned my TL for about 7 weeks now. A week ago I was attempting to set up my new BT phone and guess what.... I got the dreaded HFL booting up message. Well after talking to tech supp, and trying the reset the HFL by removing the neg batt cable. I even went as far as disconnecting the unit and reconnecting....no luck! So I dropped the car off at the dealership, jumped in my TSX loaner and was off. Got a call about 2hrs later saying they had to over night a new unit and I will be able to pick it up today.

I asked the service rep if he had heard of any other issues like this, and he said this was his first. Btw this is Duval Acura in Jacksonville, FL. After reading some of the posts here, it's obviously not a islolated incident.

Anyway I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Well picked my TL up today. They replaced the HFL unit. All works well so far...

I just saw your post. I think i'm going to have the same problem. I picked up my car on Tuesday and the HFL wasn't working so the guy told me to bring in my car on Monday. WHen I attempt to setup my HFL, it doesn't even beep to start the activation. Is this the same problem you were having??

Yup same problem...Most likely they will have to replace the unit.
