HFL being retarded

So, I'm driving home from work last night and make a phone call with the HFL froze up. Now it's stuck saying in use and I can't even use the radio.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem or has any ideas on how to reset the HFL? My only idea is to pull the negative battery cable for a bit and see if it resets it.

Pull the negative cable. I had something similar happen. It wouldn't stop ringing. This should fix your problem. If you have an 04, I would recommend getiing the HFL replaced. I just did this and can tell you the new one is much better.

there is a fuse for this that you can pull. I think it's 11 or 14...it's been awhile. it's the one that controls the dome lights...it will reset the HFL also.

Maybe if you turn off your phone? That might be enough to reset the Bluetooth functionality of the HFL?

Yeah.....I have the same problem too, my bluetooth stays on permanently. I tried to turn it of by my phone and it has a note saying bluetooth is busy, which it wouldn't let me turn it off.

Yeah that's what I did before leaving for work this morning I couldn't take a 20min drive with no music. One thing I found odd is the radio never asked for the code after reconnecting the cable.

So how do you get it about getting the module replaced? My HFL is frozen now and I want to get it replaced since this is the second time it froze.

I just don;t want the dealer reconnecting the battery/or removing the fuse and saying the HFL is fixed.

I was just down in NC visiting family and my sister had the same issue with her '05 TL. I had to hit the hang up a few times to disconnect, then turned phone off and car off. The car on and phone on in that order, and it works OK now.
