Help with right tweeter buzz noise
Help with right tweeter buzz noise
so i finally got around to doing my aftermarket amp install.
Unfortunately, I now have a buzz noise coming from the right front speaker ( door and tweet. )
equipment:
Audio control MAtrix
MB Quart 4 channel
Alpine Mono amp
From the headunit, I made my own RCA's and wired them up to the radio speaker output.
One problem im experiencing seems to be related to the far left channel on the matrix ( channel 1 ).
with car off, if i unplug the far left RCA. The noise goes away. immediately connecting it returns.
What I did was lower the gains on the matrix to the point where you cannot hear the noise. ( gain on the amp is at about 8 o clock position...not high at all )
Now with the car on. I get engine noise. Only from that right front speaker. It sounds like its isolated to the tweeter area/ front right. The noise does not increase as I drive. whether im at level 0 or level 38 the noise is there but just not loud. The louder I raise it the less I hear it.
Which brings me to ask this:
for those that have gone the matrix route
1. where did you ground the matrix?
2. where did you ground the radio? Are you using the OEM ground supplied to the harness that connects to OEM amp?
3.The matrix includes a ground isolation selector. Did you leave it on factory settings or was a change required?
Honestly, this system is so friggin loud that I may just deal with the noise..lol j/k.

I have fixed my issue.
It was the matrix
There are various switches in there that are "pre-set" at factory.
I decided to open it up and see for myself.
Channel 1 = unbalanced
Channel 2 = balanced
Channel 3 = balanced
apparently factory are all set to balance. Makes me wonder if this device is used..Ohh well, it works.
