Help please

i got a complete sound system a few weeks ago, but kept the stock headunit. For the sub, i can increase the bass from the amp, and also on the bass control on the headunit. But rasing the bass option from the headunit raises bass on the sub and speakers. i was wondering if its possible to control the bass from the subwoofer setting on the stock headunit. Is it possible ot somehow be wired to my sub and from there control the subwoofer through the stock headunit "subwoofer" option. If so, how....has any1 done it?

AHH Murdock, you had to know I was going to reply to your plea!!
As I've stated many times in so many threads before on the sub/amp installs, the best place to get the signal for your sub is at the factory amp. You use the signal coming from the headunit, to the Factory amp that is for the Sub. You also don't need a line level adapter here, because it's already a low level signal, just attach it to your RCA and your ready to go. I can adjust my Sub output from the Sub controls on the headunit. I have mine set to -2 and bass to 0. Love the ability to adjust it at will.....

Like what he said, there is about a 1v signal coming from the headunit to the factory amp. From other threads, here is what I have gathered. For the sub, you want the Red w/blue for the + side, and the White w/Green for the - side. These are before the headunint on the 20pin connector
