Exclamation HELP!! Navi and Outside Temp Issues PICS

Hey guys. I'm having some issues with my car. When putting an address in my navigation, it shows I am on the route, yet says not on digitized road, or without even putting any address in, it shows me in the woods. . . Also, sometimes my outside temp doesn't read. I have a 04 TL w/ 63K. Here's some pics below.

Has anyone ever encountered either of these issues, and if so what did you do to resolve them? Thanks guys!

There was a TSB on this-- TSB 05-029; see https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-technical-service-bulletins-tsbs-3g-garage-j-016-a-613659/.

Paperboy is right about adjusting your GPS position-- try calibrating it per the Navi manual and see if that resolves your issues.

Sometimes the temperature display will flatline if it's an extremely hot day and the sun is beating down. The temperature display won't display any temperature over 111°F and will instead display that flatline thing. Thus, if it flatlines while you're stuck in traffic or waiting at a red light or something like that, AND it's a very hot day, AND if it fixes itself when you start moving again (or shortly after you start moving such that a breeze starts hitting the sensor), then it's normal and it's nothing to worry about.

But if it flatlines on its own and won't fix itself, that can be an issue. I couldn't get the TSB Will Y. linked to display even after I followed the directions he mentioned. But I seem to recall there was some discussion on this forum six or seven years ago about an issue where the Bluetooth system could hang up and when it happened the temperature display also flatlined. That issue was not a minor one because the Bluetooth wouldn't shut itself off when the car was turned off the way it normally does and you'd wind up with a dead battery. The solution involved pulling a fuse, waiting a while, and re-inserting it. This happened to me one time back in 2005 or 2006 and the solution worked fine. Since then I make a point of trying to turn off my Bluetooth connection before I turn the car off if I plan to be away from the car for more than half an hour or so. (Don't always manage this because Apple makes the Bluetooth setting a nuisance to access on the iPhone. I have a shortcut to turn it on, but they refuse to allow a shortcut to turn it off unless you jailbreak the phone, which I haven't done. So my wife sometimes get impatient if I go to turn off the Bluetooth and thus I sometimes skip it.)

If relocating the car using settings tab 3 does not work, pop the DVD out of the Navi drive for a bit, then reload it to get the system to reinitialize.

Otherwise, you may need to shut down power to the Navi and reinitialize it. This means disconnecting the Navi system fuse or disconnecting the battery, either of which will require you to enter the Navi passcode after reconnecting power. You'll need the radio pass code as well if you disconnect the battery.

The Navi manual is in the 3G Service Department stickied thread, BTW: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/j-020-3g-acura-tl-owners-manual-navi-manual-warranty-booklet-pdfs-851625/.

It sounds like you've got the problem addressed by the TSB on the temp gauge. My temp gauge occasionally shows three dashes if it is 100*F+, and reads properly otherwise.
