You need to replace the bulbs behind the buttons. Now this no easy task. You have to remove the unit to expose the back and replace the factory ones. Now the plastic breaks easily so but way more then you need in case you break them. Here is a link from someone who replaced his https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...itches-852532/
Here is a how-to video on how to replace them. Sorry its a bit shakey but you should get the general idea
Here is a link for white LEDs
20x White 1206 SMD T3 Neo Wedge 1 LED Cluster Instrument Dash Lights New 8mm US eBay
and here is one for blue ones
10x Blue T3 Neo Wedge SMD LED Light HVAC Climate Switch Lights Lamps Bulbs eBay
I hope this helps

I'm having the exact same issue. A couple of the bulbs went out so i pulled the Navi out to change them and now none of the navi lights work. Tried swapping them out with bulbs I know are good AND leds and still nothing. I've probably read close to 20 different threads where people were saying they were having the exact same issue but no answers as to the cause. I've check EVERY fuse and even pulled and disassembled the nav unit to see if any caps were noticeably swollen or any traces of burning.
Surely someone has found a reason as to why this happens by now. i really don't want to buy a whole new nav unit just for the bulbs. I'm thinking about retrofitting some leds into each hole and have them tapped into the power on the back on the unit. Would love to know if theres an easier fix though. Anyone?

Burning Brakes
Same issue here… I was messing with my navy unit during my tablet installation and saw some smoke. Instantly, all of the HVAC and navigation lights went out. Now, none of the HVAC or navigation buttons are lighting up even though all other light turns on just fine.
I purchased a used navigation board and swapped it out. Still, the bulbs aren’t lighting up. Everything else is functional. I even replaced every fuse just to be safe and nothing is lighting up on the navigation bezel. What in the world?!
