I'm looking at getting the PAC ISHD571 for my '05 TL (XM, navi). I am trying to search here to see if I can get some installation manual(better with pics) before I buy. Anybody knows? Also one question: Do I have to apart the central console or take radio out?(which I really dont want to...)

Sorry man, no installation manual comes with it. you only get a diagram showing you what connects where but no instructions as to how to disassemble the vehicle and complete the install. I asked PAC about that and they said they didn't include instructions because they recommend professional installation. I did mine today, took about 2 hours and it was getting dark but completed successfully. I removed the elbow rest, center console (shifter area), the plastic pieces under the steering wheel column, and I was then able to barely access the area behind the radio where the wiring harness has to be replaced. It was a pain in the arce but glad i did it. I will say that I think the unit responds slow, it takes some getting used to, and I can't go to the next song from my steering wheel display. I can only go to the next song via turning the knob which kinda sucks. I payed $90 on ebay. Good luck.

 

just the the center apart then you can access the plug on the bottom of the radio that way. it's easier to get to imo then the bent screwdriver trick
