Help on installing loc

hi guys i need a little help on some wiring from the experts out here. i have and Acura TL 2011 (yes i know im in the 3g forum but there are more experts at the 3g than 4g) and im going to replace my stock sub w/ jl 10w7 and hd750/1 amp my main question is that im using the pac audio sn-35t to get the sound to the amp from my stock sub. i know the wire color + (grey) - (blue) of the stock sub. how/which wires from the loc i hook up w/ those?

the LOC has grey(+) grey blk (-) right output
White(+) whiteblk (-) left output

do i wire the stock + to both loc + and same w/ the -'s?

Just wire directly into the amp. You don't need the LOC. If you install it like this and find that at the lowest gain setting your sub is getting too much power...THEN install the LOC.

but if i install the LOC it has 2 sets of input wires ( + - ) for left and right
my speaker wire is coming from my sub just + -

i know if i pull the speaker input from my rear deck speaker i can get the left and right channels. but i want to get the signal from the sub so i can still control the 10w7 from my HU

Bridge them or just use one channel

Yeah you can just wrap them together. (http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductD...ons_091410.pdf)

All LOC's do is take a high voltage and bring it down to something that the amp can use. From my own experiences and from everything I've heard over the years, LOC's can cut signal (don't believe their "ruler flat" bs).

If I remember right, our post amp voltage isn't but 5-6v. The HD750/1 can handle that...

JL HD750/1
Input Sensitivity- Switchable from 200 mV - 2 V RMS (Low) to 800 mV - 8 V RMS (High)

Technically the w7 is a DVC 1.5ohm sub, but after ohm rise this will be fine.

Are you sure you have two channels coming off the stock amp / HU for the sub? According to this diagram it looks like you just have one channel (+ and -).

Just run that to your amp, run fused power from your battery to the amp, ground it, then wire the amp to the sub like Trunk Monkey said.

PS - I'd measure your voltage AFTER the amp on those two wires to see how it compares to the 3G numbers Trunk listed.
