Help! I don't know which LCDs to buy for the headrests.

Hi all,

I really need help here. I'm so scared to pull the trigger on the LCDs for the headrests. The rest of my install is done, I'm just waiting on this now. There's tons of LCDs on eBay for $100-$125 each. Is there something wrong with them? Should I do it? Does anyone have any recommendations for me? Perhaps screens that you've already installed in your TL headrests? Any information would be a help. I'd like to order the LCD midweek at the latest so that I might get them for the weekend.

Pretty much the only requirement I have is I'd like headphone jacks on the front of the units. It's not an ABSOLUTE must, but it's pretty high up there.

Thanks guys!

Rob

From what I know about LCD on headrests buying them is the first step. My guess is it costs some money to have em countersunk(?) into the back of the headrests. After this they also need to be wired into the system. you may be looking at over 1000 when all is said and done.

Well, I have already got the wiring done. It's waiting in the back of the seat. The rest of the system is already fully functional. And the "countersinking" I'll be doing myself. So all I really need at this point is the LCDs and I just don't know which ones to buy. There's so much selection. I figured someone who has already done it with their TL would maybe have some insight.

Have you looked at the infrared wireless headphones? LCDs with the IR transmitter will run you more oney, but not having wires to deal with might be worth it. The Sony MDR-IF140 claims around 60 hours of use from 1 AAA battery.

Well, I'll definitely look into that... There's just so much selection, I really don't know what to choose. ARGH!
