HELP? Handsfreelink problem once again!

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. Recently purchased an 04 TL and was trying out the functions.

I have a problem with the handsfreelink, if I'm not wrong when you push the talk button on the steering wheel the radio or whatever is playing is supposed to stop right? and then you hear a beep or a voice?

That is not the case with my car. The radio keeps playing although it says phone on the display and I am still able to input commands verbally and physically.

I was told the radio was replaced, so I'm guessing they did a bad job. I called handsfreelink and they told me its possibly because they didnt install the radio correctly and the handsfreelink over ride was not plugged in?

I dont want to bring it to the dealer and lose an arm and leg. Does anyone know the wiring or even where to start? I tried searching already but no one really has a similar problem.

Thanks for the help in advance.
