I am going to be replacing the factory HU. I know that I'll be losing HFL capabilities. The new unit has BT built in, just plug in the supplied mic.

It's probably far fetched, but is it possible to use the factory mic in an aftermarket application? I searched this and came up empty, BTW.

If not, where have you guys hidden the aftermarket mic? I don't want the mic sitting on the steering column or to be obvious. I am open to suggestions,
