HandsFreeLink & Samsung T809
I purchased a Samsung T809 from T-Mobile the beginning of this year, specifically to take advantage of the Bluetooth in my 2004 Acura TL.
The phone paired fine, and the heads-up display didn't show the extended info; which was OK.
After about 2-3 months, the Bluetooth started getting worse and worse. I would initiate calls from my car; and the phone would dial - but would not go to Handset mode, but rather I'd have to talk on the phone itself. When I tried to switch to handset mode, it would try but not accept it.
I contacted T-Mobile support, and was referred to samsung tech support - and escalted to level 2. There, I was told flat out that Samsung's T809 is not compatible with the chipset in my Acura (JCI handset). And that there was no word on if it would ever be compatible.
So, now I have a phone that is useless in my car. Well, it works but only part of the time; and the other times I loose about a year of life yelling and screaming at the phone LOL
T-Mobile will exchange the unit with a Motorola Razr V3; but its lessor of a phone than the Samsung... so I'm a bit torn as to what to do...
Anyone else out there with a TL and Samsung 809 have issues?

The Sammy's that Sprint has put out the past couple months have also had pretty horrible results with the TL, and from what I hear a poor bluetooth implementation period. People on the forums were having all kinds of BT problems with headsets. Sammy needs to get their shit together!
