Hands Free Link button not working

Hello everyone, I have a 07 TL i just recently purchased with only 70,000 miles on it. Great car and condition, only problem is, the Talk Button is unresponsive, although the voice commands button still works. And when I go to the HandsFree link on the dash board, it says 'Booting Up' for a few minutes, then disappears. I read that people have been taking out their circuit boards out of their HFL and putting it in the microwave at 385 F, for 9 minutes. Can anyone confirm this? also, if it messes up in the oven any have any suggestions on where to get a new HFL system. Thank you!

... not microwave, oven.

it's a stop-gap fix at best, the HFL is just prone to failure so i'd just live without it rather than spend money to buy a new one

Oops, I meant oven. But thank you, I like the feature and would rather have it working then not. I’ll try it out, if it works great, if not I’ll leave it be.

It will work for some time and then quit again, draining your battery.
better to just fork out the money for a new module or disconnect it all together and go aftermarket

2007 TL should have aux input in the middle console, so you might just buy one of those bluetooth modules for ~$30.
Some time ago I've been using this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NLTW60/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NLTW60/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It was recommended by somebody else on this forum. Downside is that radio must be in AUX for the module to work, but it will allow you to stream music and use Google Assistant (and maybe even Siri or whatever).

For some more money you can have something even better:

Just make sure to pic correct version of this module.

Oh and remove/disconnect your HFL as when it goes bad it likes to drain the battery. Plenty of threads and youtube videos how to do that.

Anyways... nobody tried to microwave HFL before, so there might be a chance that it will fix it
