Hands-free Link WAS working now it's not

I can't find anything about this topic on previous threads...

My cell phone has bluetooth and it's a compatible phone. I paired it up when I got the car. I've had the car for three weeks now and the HFL has worked fine, except for the minor glitches that are issues with the phone model and compatibility that everyone else has been having.

I got in the car yesterday and I noticed the phone wasn’t paired. I tried connecting it using the feature on the phone (connect to Bluetooth device) and it said, “connection failed”. I hit the talk button (phone picked up button) to try to re-pair the connection but I didn’t even get the beep for the voice prompt that I use to get. I hit the hang up button and nothing happens either. Are the buttons busted?

Has anyone else had this problem? I looked in the manual and there isn’t anything to address this problem. I tried to get a prompt with the phone talk button again today with no such luck. Should I just take it in to the dealer?

Sounds like HFL isn't working. I'd take it to the dealer to see what's up.

I took it in to the dealer today and it turns out it is broken. They ordered a new SOP part (whatever that means) and said they would install it next week.

It turns out my phone is still being tested and most likely it will not pass as being totally compatible. That's probably why I had so many glitches and according to the service rep that tripped up the HF system.

I don't want to have this problem again so I'll probably switch to a different model phone that has been tested and is totally compatible.

Had exactly the same problem within a couple of weeks of getting my new RDX - took the vehicle in, was told the main HFL units needed to be replaced, part was ordered and returned to get it fitted.

Voice recognition doesn't appear to be as good on the new unit as the old but certainly working again.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Like this old post. my HFL on my 2008 has suddenly stopped working. I don't get the beep when I push the talk button. However, the phone is still paired and receives and shows the number of the incoming call, but I can't answer it or call out via HFL.
I'm just out of warranty of course and concerned that this will be a big ticket repair.
Anyone had a similar experience?

Mine went out for an afternoon when I got the new phone last week. I deleted all paired devices in the phone and car and re-paired everything. Worked like a charm. Try resetting everything and starting from scratch.
