.. well my road does now

New Navi DVD came in today; I was able to find my aunts house and now my house.. so i'm happy, but I find it entertaining that when you're in an unverified area every direction ends with "... if possible"

Guess they wanted to eliminate every chance to get sued!

I have 30 days to return the disc; so if the new version comes out ill be getting that.. though with my luck it will come out on the 31st day..!


this post is useless im just expressing my excitement.. although I am a little irritated with UPS! I selected 2nd day air shipping; Friday - Tuesday = more than 2 days!

I called yesterday.... and...

"hello I see my package is in Sacramento, CA - can I pick it up?"

well actually sir it's in the sort facility in your city now

"oh ok so I can just stop by on my way home and grab it ?"

yes sir, the facility closes at 6

<so I leave early to start my 40 minute drive home and to stop @ my local UPS faclility>

Smart me.. I decided to call UPS again about 20 minutes from home to get the address

"hello i'm hoping you can give me the address for the sort facility so I can get the package"

oh no sir, this package is in San Francisco you cannot get it today

"What?! I just left work 30 minutes early because the lady said it was already in the sort facility by my house!!"

no sir that lady was wrong and i do apologize but it is in San Francisco

<so i'm like.. wtf... waste of time.. get home, check UPS.. and it says once again, "ARRIVED IN SACRAMENTO, CA".. I call UPS again...>

"hello, I was told earlier that my package was at the sort facility by my house, I left work early to go get it, and then I was told it's in San Francisco"

Oh well i'm sorry about that sir, at this time I show that the package is indeed in Sacramento, CA at the sort facility

"so what you're saying is, if the lady hadn't told me it was at the place by my house, i'd still be in sacramento - about 10 minutes from the sort facility there- and could pick it up"

Do you have the 2007 disk and waiting for the 2008 disk?

 

I have the 2k7 disc now; it just arrived.. if the 08 disc comes out in the next month ill send mine back

Edit: Guess I have the 2006 disc; which is the latest.. so 07 will be out next

 

Congrats on your new DVD. I've been thinking of buying the updated DVD for my car too. I just can't see spending that much for possibly nothing....

That's actually exactly 2 (business) days. Saturday and Sunday don't count.

how much are these new discs going for?

 

Are they going to continue to make updates on our 3rd gen discs? do they ever discontinue?

 

$185 + tax + shipping; mine was ~$215 total.

I'm sure at some point they'll stop making the updates, I would hope it's not anytime soon.. i'll be pissed!

 

Yeah I didn't get the last one 3.6, I was just going to wait for the new 3.7? to come out.

yeah on the 07 models, not the previous 04-06 ones. No one has figured it out yet
