guys i need some help here !

I want to add two middbass drivers to my system. Right now i have an infinity 6 channel amp ( 4 full range channels and 2 for the subwoofers) I have rockford 3sixty integrated into my system aswell! Now i want to buy 2 8" midbass drivers from kicker to get some more punch in the music. I want to feed those with channel 5 and 6 giving them each about 120 rms at 4ohms. then im going to put another mono amp for the two 12 inches in the trunk. my question is how do i seperate everything now, u know to let the subs play 80hz and lower the midbass at 160 - 80hz and so on....its my first time doing it so dont have that much experience, i hope someone can help ! thanx

The proper way to do this is to utilize a crossover. This will allow you direct specific frequencies to specific amps, and ultimately to the speakers. The 360.1 has a sub crossover only. I believe the 360.2 has full adjustable crossover for all channels.

In addition to noting what frequencies it can cover, you need to be concerned with the slope - the rate at which it blocks or passes frequencies (it doesn't just cut them off completely - it fades them out gradually.)

Many amps come with built in crossovers, but usually the are one sided - i.e. they cut off either high or low frequencies, not both which is what you need.

Here is a good FAQ: http://www.carstereo.com/rayfes/eqx.
