Grounding kits...

I have been reading though some old post about these. I am having some issues with radio noise and I was thinking about getting one of the cheap kits from Ebay to install and see if it will help me with that plus several people here posted they have better throttle response as well.

I really want a black kit so it blends in but all I can find is red or blue, so I guess I could wrap all of the wires tightly with electrical tape then install them.

I found these, what do you think?

I went by an auto parts store today and to make my own it will cost as much if not more than these kits and I do not have to go through the trouble of making it plus I do not have the tool to crimp the large wires.

If there is a auto battery supply house in your town you can put together your own in black for cheap. I did mine for like 20 bucks see my thread. the cables are available in lots of sizes already crimped.

You dont need that if you are just doing the grounding. That is a voltage stabilizer device. the one that I used has a couple places to ground to so it makes it easier with just one ground wire going to the battery

I guess I could start at the TB like you did and end at the battery.

I still have a few things to check on my TL, but the radio noise is driving me crazy and if this will solve it I will install it with a quickness.

i got the black box i made my own mounting plate and installed it up front. you could see how i did it here https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...693&highlight= i used the grounding points in pohljm's thread, very useful. thanks pohljm as for the engine noise the grounding kit should work from what i've read.

I work with race cars and airplanes

To effectivly add ground to your electrical system- each wire needs to go to actual `Ground` on the metal FRAME of the vehicle

Running from various parts back to the battery looks cool, but does not add ground!
The Neg lead on the battery goes- guess where?
And all you have done is add to that 1 weak wires load!

You can run several wires to 1 frame point- a bracket or long pin/bolt, or run each to its own attachment, its easier to run longer wire than drill more holes~

Builders will run a seperate special flex braided flat wire from exhaust manifold to the body/frame

Do it right by making it ~like~ a store bought, or dont bother
If you have radio interferance now- get the one with the extra box just for that problem
check your spark plugs too

If I make it or buy I plan to connect to the frame, then the battery and from there make a loop around the engine hitting various points.

I have also ordered a set of OE plugs to install.

Thats why it starts at the chassis ground at the tranny
