GROM Audio in Non-Navi?
GROM Audio in Non-Navi?
I have a 2006 Non-Nav TL. I am looking to add bluetooth and an aux cable in the car. I'm thinking of using the GROM but wasnt sure if it would work with the non-nav vehicle. Either way, what do you guys think is my best option?
Just picked up the grom usb 2p add the bluetooth dongle last week.
05 non navi
I have all options available from usb, to aux, to bluetooth, to usb charging as well.
got it from auto toys.com
They also have a coupon on there site for like another $15 off. I went with the XM button flash, so I am sure to get txt on the screen. I don't use XM so works for me.
I should have it in a few days and install in the next week or so.

From my understanding, you wont get text. It has 2 firmware which are CDC (for non navi) and SAT (for navi). I had spoken to a representative at Grom Audio and that's what I was told. Who knows maybe the text feature will work..........
I got the SAT version for the txt display on a 2005 non navi. Is this why my radio won't recognize the grom?
I can't get an answer from GROM or Autotoys....This sucks!!
About to try to reflash for CDC, but the whole point of this is for txt (and music), and I was under the impression txt could be had if you went SAT, just you loose XM capabiltiy which I could care less.
Do i need to unplug sat receiver in trunk for this to work

Again from my understanding text display works with the navi when it comes to grom. For me i dont care about text as long as it works with my tablet. Best of luck n try grom audio again but chat with them via live chat. Thats how i got my intel.
