ok i also need some help on the gauge of wire i need to use. I got a rockford amp instead of the kenwood. Its birth cert. says 65w at 4ohms x 2 and i am also hooking up a mtx amp to the subs which i believe is 175w x2 (ohms?). I am thinking of branching off the main line to each amp in the rear of the car. 4 gauge enough or too much?

haha i swear im not special! It stands for my Licence plate Bad Donkey (ASS)
One more question: I see rating of Amps in 12.5v and 14.5 volts. For out purpose car put out 12v. Is there a way for the amp to receive 14v or does it actually receive 14v when you take into consideration the remote wire?

ur car puts out 13.5 all the time.....12 is like the standard way of putting it.... the alternator charges at 13.5 - 14.5 all the time depending on rpm speeds... now with the car off, at time of ignition starts with 11.5...as soon as the first crank is achieved the voltage spikes and regulates at 13.5. the remote cable is always 12volts.

ok so i am getting my amp for my subs tomorrow ( old amp i let a friend use) I believe its 325w at 4 ohms. Now i have two subs. One JL 12 inch 12w08 (125w 8 ohm sub) in a regular sealed box and then i have a single 10 inch mtx blue thunder extreme (500w rms at 4 ohms) in a truck box. What sub should i use with the amp i have? I think the 10 inch is the way to go but believe a bigger box would make it sound better. This true?

ok so got alot done today with the amp install. One question with the LOC. I have four wire and a ground. Can i double up the speaker wires (wrap the two positives and two negative together and run them into the single negative and single positive output of the OEM factory output for the OEM sub) to just the single output from the OEM amp? Do i have to ground the LOC?

no dont twist cables together on the loc.....use one channel on it and then split the rca cables.... dont connect the ground thats for other reasons (older cars)

"bad"..ur answer is nope...and HQ unless u have a 5channel amp and 3 LOCs or the 3sixty or the jl cleansweep.....the answer is no.....personally depending on how loud u wanna get u dont need 5.1 anymore....at this point i have 4.3 and its retarded. and im selling the 3 10w6's i was running and ordering 2 12w7 to save a lil weight (like .3 lbs) or i may just go with 2 10w7's....
