Ok, so from my previous car I had 2 RF amps and 2 10's. I did the install myself but I want this installation to be professionally done due to the complexities of the TL.

I went down to Custom Sounds to get an estimate on just installing the amps. Keep in mind that all I have is just the amps, no wiring etc.

This is what they told me that I needed

2 – 8GA Amp Kits $99.98

1 - ACO LC6 $169.99 – not sure what this is.
2 - RF RP2095 $30.00
1 - KIC 055W1220 $15.00
LABOR $229.99
SHOP/PARTS $ 33.80

Estimate total 633.73

No custom parts

Is this accurate? Is this something that I could do myself?

 

The parts seem expensive and the labor looks about right. The TL sound system is not as complex as your think. Are you only changing the amps and leaving the stock speakers?? The LC6 is a line out converter made by audio control. There are better and cheaper than this.

 

Yes, I will be leaving the stock speakers but adding a bigger amp and adding another amp for the 2 10's.

 

since you're doing the whole rest of the system, why not the speakers! the stock speakers are junk. why not look @ www.onlinecarstereo.com and finding something nice for a couple bills?!?! you will notice a HUGE difference. just my
