Getting new Bluetooth (2007)

First time posting. I just bought a used 2007 TL. Car is in amazing shape and I love it.

The original owner however removed the factory Bluetooth through the dealer earlier this year due to the dreaded draining battery issues they have. Is there am alternative I can get installed to replace it that won't ruin the battery? Something that would be easy to install or would I have to get it done by someone who knows what they are doing ?

You can purchase an OEM one for a bit over $200. You can install it yourself as it is an easy thing to do even if your not good at DIY.

Will a new OEM one have the same battery draining issues ? I understood this was a regular problem with the stock bluetooth

It only drains the battery when it's defective. When in proper working order, that does not happen.
