Garage Door Open-not working

I live in gated community and it requires gate opener to open. I programmed the gate opener to my Acura TL-S and it works as charm. But I can't program my garage door opener to the link. Can someone help me on this?

Your garage door probably has a rolling code. You need to find the "learn" button on your door opener. On mine you press a button on the garage door signal receiver and then race back to the car to sync it up. Once you do it you're set.

I believe that homelink has a website that explains it.

did they do maintenance on the garage recently? Maybe reprogramming it again might fix it?

There is a button on your garage door receiver. Where it is depends on the model of opener. You press that button (a learning button, usually hidden), and while it's blinking you go back to your car and press and hold one of the homelink buttons. go to the homelink.com website for more info.

^^^^ i agree. my garage is the same way. there was a little red button either on top or on the back, just hit it and you got like 30-60 seconds to complete the sync.

The gate I don't know about, obviously you use a different button. I'd ask the guard at the gate how to do it or maybe what kind of opener it's using and then look on the web for info, you can't be the only one. Look on homelink.com to see if there's a "learning" mode for the buttons.

I live in a gated community too. You'll need to see if your gate security system is compatible with the homelink system.
