just got my 1011t tweets. When you folks installed them did you use the infinity corssover or did you just swap in the tweets.

I used the supplied inline crossover. You will kill them without it.

Use the crossovers supplied with the tweets. The OE has a capacitor glues to the tweeter so when you remove the OE tweeter, out comes the crossover.

Plus, the 1011t comes with a reasonable quality second order crossover (the stock capacitor is a 1st order filter). The infinity crossover cuts corners by using solid core inductors but it does a decent job. Second order filters aren't always "better" than first order but in this case I'd stick with the infinity supplied one. I have the 1011ts in mt TL and that's what I did.

You may also choose to upgrade you center channel speaker as well. Many chose another infinity driver but when I looked none had silk dome tweeters. I chose the 1011ts since I prefer silk (textile) tweeters. I eventually found a Boston Acoustics driver for the center. Selling the left over on the forum was easy and resulted in 2 A-ziners getting a good deal (me and the other guy!)
