Finally got one
I finally got my car, thanks solely to my wife. Surprised me for my birthday. Luckiest guy in the world. Black with Camel, Navi. Fun toy. So's the car!
So, when storing numbers to my phone?? I have to call into a computerized system, that upon answering requires a series of numbers to take you to a particular extension.
The manual states that you can 'send' numbers or names but then is void of any further instruction. I had the voice prompt once repeat the word 'pause' so I know it has the capability but I cannot find any further information about it. I have tried to record 'send' and then the numbers but it won't take it.
Can anyone help or steer me to some more elaborate instructions.
Love this site, it has been very helpful in my shopping experience.

The phonebook in the system, can store numbers, but I don't think it'll work the way you want.
e.g. when I go into my voice mail, I need to press certain number to access my account, won't work. I usually just use the phone keypad.

Congrats, and kudos to your wife!
Yes the manual says you can program in a number of sequential "pauses" and have the HFL send your preset code (enter it as a separate entry into your system and name it "password," "passcode" or some imaginative name).
However, like Dave above, I couldn't get mine to work with the office voicemail and just use the phone key pads when necessary. Of course that's a problem if the phone is charging under the armrest; I should probably devote more than 5 minutes to trying to get it to work.

i understand how you feel. my brother just bought a TL but i get to drive it first cause i'm away from home doing an internship. it's pretty sweet, i'm looking to modding it before i give it back as a way of saying thanks.
what's the first mod i should do? i was thinking CAI or something. he's afraid if we change the CAI it'll void the warranty.

Sending digits
When you place a call and the system is waiting for you to enter an exstension you can press the hfl button and say "send 1,2,3 etc" and the TL will send those digits thru for you.
