ErrE Radio lockup

This is just for reference for future searches. But i disconnected my radio last nite and the radio wanted a CODE, didnt realize this was in my glovebox so i started testing random easy number and after the 10th time i think it locked up and said ErrE. So for anyone else who does this, remove the battery cables for atleast a minute and it will reset, you code is in you glovebox. Leaving it off for less then a minute doesnt do the trick. I tried 5 seconds and 10 seconds and neither resolved the issue.

Just like secure internet sites won't let you guess at a password more than 5-6 times, it appears that the radio will only let you enter a number of guesses before shutting down. Always good to hear of another security measure installed for our protection.

If mine is an example, the code is not actually in the glove box, but on the left outside panel, visible by the driver when he opens the glove box. I searched everywhere for the code until I realized I was looking for codes in all the wrong places.
