E815 Help - Problem with HFL

I have had the E815 since July, and it had been working wonderfully. It really is a great phone, and worked quite well with the TL. But this past weekend, my phone began turning off when it was not plugged into a power adapter, then would not turn back on again. I thought it was a problem with the phone, so I went to Verizon, and they exchanged it for a brand new one. But with the new one, I have the same exact problem, and I think I have isolated the issue to be related to hands-free link.

Whenever I have the phone in my car with bluetooth on, it seems the phone will turn itself off, then cannot be turned back on again unless I use an AC adapter. Anyone have any ideas what the cause of this unusual problem might be before I call Acura?

That is odd... I am not sure why it would do that. Have you tried to pair your phone with a bluetooth headet to see if it does it also?

Problem solved. This afternoon the phone turned off again but this time it had nothing to do with HFL. So back to Verizon I went. Turns out, when Verizon gave me the replacement phone they also gave me back the original battery. So the problem was with the battery all along, which they never bothered to check when I brought the phone in initially.

Not that I'll complain. I got a brand new phone out of the deal, but I would have thought the battery was the first thing they would have checked.

Glad you found your problem as I have the E815 myself and will be pairing/using it with the TL when the dealer finally gets it from the factory!

How is your battery life (with the new battery of course) paired to the TL?

Regards

Battery life is fair. I leave the bluetooth on day/night, so that may drain it a bit. I would say I need to re-charge every 2 days or so. Phone works great with the TL!
