Dynomat questions
Dynomat questions
I just have a couple questions about Dynomat or other sound proofing mat material for the trunk. I have a JL Audio 500.1 and a JL Audio 12W3 and I am starting to have some issues with rattleing outside of the car. (I know that comes with the territory) however, would like to fix it if possible.
If you have used one of these products before, where exactly did you install it? Just on the deck lid, or around the sides?
How much difference did it make as far as rattles go from the outside of the car?
Did you have to remove most of the trunk liner or just the deck lid liner?
Any help would be huge. Thanks boys.

My entire trunk lid and under the rear glass panel has been dynomatted. Also the rear License plate is too. It helped but did not get rid of all my rattles. I would say it is 85% rattle free. But mine still rattles unfortunately. I am guessing your speaker is facing the trunk correct?
trunk and dynamat
Try using a product called Damplifier pro from SecondSkinAudio. I have been researching over a dozen dampening products and have read many responses from customers of each of those companies. This company by far exceeds all expectations. If you call the company, you can even speak to the owner Anthony Collova. Good luck with your endeavor.
