Dynomat

Does the Dynomat really work? I was thinking about getting it for my trunk. I'm getting a 12" sub and I was told it prevents rattling. I went to Bestbuy and they sell it for $145.00, then checked ebay and found the same brand for $48. Hundred dollar savings. Is it a wise investment to get dynomat , do I really need it?

Yes it really works trust me. Use the dynamat extreme. Its thin and light and easy to work with. Also get the wooden roller for it the plastic on sucks. And since you saving all that money on ebay buy a heat gun or borrow one form someone. When you apply the heat its like shrink wrap.

Yes it does get most of the rattles out and I highly recommend Dynomat Extreme or Cascade. But I heard Cascade might be better than Dynomat Extreme.

becareful when ordering dynamat off ebay. they put the name in the title but it just might be for the roller. read the fine print. i got 35 sq feet of dyanmat extreme off of ebay for $100. it is enough to cover my trunk lid entire bottom of trunk and the rear deck with some to spare. the price you quoted seems a bit cheap for dynamat unless it is only for the doors.

From my experience with a previous car, most of rattles coming from taking apart and reassembling interior. All that plastic is just not made for easy disassembly. I used sound absorbing materials, but didn't notice much difference. If you look in the trunk, you will se that there is a factory insulation in critical spots
