Dynamat or not??

question to all that have and those thinking about it?? 07 tl base when added a sub in trunk should we add dynamat to the trunk or no or try something totaly different?? also note this is for trunk rattle not back dash that problem fix thanks to great people here!!!

second skin is a little better and easier to use than dynamat.

i would recommend it for sure. one tip, try and pinpoint exactly where the rattles are coming from before you start laying the stuff down. it works great tho...good stuff. make sure you get the roller tool as well. makes laying the stuff down a breeze.

Sound Deadener Showdown CLD Tiles or Second Skin Damplifier Pro

Like said before, play music and listen for rattles, then attack that location. Flat surfaces are where you get rattles/resonance, not curves.

I've had great luck with both Second Skin and Dynamat but the second skin seems to work slightly better for a given weight.

For the trunk, removing the license plate frame and using all 4 screws for the plate will take care of most of the rattles. I would to this first and see if you still need it.

I thought I read somewhere on here that it could be the counter weight under the trunk lid liner that rattles too.
