DVD-A problem.. the song skips
I was just wondering if anyone was having this problem... after i make my DVD-A using the method adobeman described (by the way thanks for that) the dvd works fine but whenever i get to song #80 or higher the song skips.. for example i know the song is 4 mins long but only 2 mins of the same song plays and then goes on to the next song.. so i was just wondering if anyone had that problem and if they did what did they do to fix it ?
Thanks
Thanks

I've had that problem on a DVD that got dirty, but once I cleaned it everything was fine. There were no audible clicks/pops or anything that lead up to the player moving on to the next song. It was at a random point in the song, though, not exactly at 2 minutes.

Could be:
- Dirt/scratches as svtmike says.
- Bad media. If it is really cheap stuff sometimes they don't "burn out to the edge well"
- Perhaps you are ripping and or burning too fast. I burn at 4x max (by burner's limit) and rip at about 4x or less. Any time I ripped faster I got the same problem as you but it could happen anywhere in the disc. Not just after 75 or 80 songs.

You'll need to give more details - type of media, brand, burner, speed, programs used, etc...

Check your songs before you burn them to a DVD-A. I made a DVD-A with the extracted 5.1 sound tracks from Aerosmith's You Gotta Move DVD-V. Without checking I burned a coaster. Tracks 12-19 did not have any information in the files! I went back and re-extracted the 5.1 and double checked the wav files. They were all there and once I burned the DVD+R all the tracks were there as well.

I had the same exact problem and what I found was the type of media I was using gave the problem. Some songs would end prematurely in the TL but would play fine in my home DVD player. I switched from using Memorex DVD-R to Sony DVD-R and everything worked fine. Also make sure when you're burning your disc you disable all of your anti virus functions (auto protect, live update, email scanning, script running, etc.), disable your screensaver and try not to multi task and use other programs.

I agree part of skipping problem is "Buffer Underun Protection". Although this prevents buffer underrun, it creates gap between data.
To eliminate it, don't run anything else while you are burning unless you have CD-ROM on SCSI interface(which I highly doubt these days).
However my problem seems to be different. All my songs play proper muisc in WAV file form. I tried a few different medias at lowest speed and did not work. I tried Taiyo Yuden 16X, Ritek 05, Ritek 04, BenQ and so on.
