Hey everyone,

this may be a stupid question but can anyone direct me to any information as to how I can play DVD movies on my Navigation Screen... or is this even possible?

From the factory, no, but some people have hacked the Navi. I would assume this would void the warranty.

Start searching the forum. The answer to your question is: Yes - you can play movies on the Navi screen. What you can't do is use the navi DVD unit in the trunk to play the movie. You must have a separate DVD player etc.. For about $225-$250 you can get an interface unit and the appropriate plug and play harness that will allow you to easily plug in two different video sources for display on your Navi screen. Most folks use one for movie playback and the other a rear view/backup camera etc..
The other thing you need is an interface device allowing you to input an "aux" audio source into the factory head unit/stereo.

Start searching.
