Dvd-a

So I'm new to this DVD-A thing and I've been reading some of the Threads..

Here's my question/s:

Linkin Park's Reanimation I guess comes as DVD-A does this mean all their Reanimation discs are DVD-A or are there two separate CD's...one being "normal" the other being "DVD-A"? If so is there a price difference?

I've read where some people are going to the DVD-A section of Circuit City, etc....I never knew there was such a section. So would the Reanimation CD be in both sections?

Reanimation DVD-A is a different beast from the CD. It is sold in a jewelbox that is larger than the CD jewel box. Circuit City has stopped selling DVD-A and SACD, so you will have to look in a Best Buy, Media Play, Sam Goody, or local "record" store that carries HiRez to see it. If you look on line, you will find it easily.

DVD-A's are usually priced more than CDs, but not always. It's really a crap shoot. Some labels, EMI for instance, charges a lot higher list price than say WB/Rhino.

With Lexus, BMW, and Infiniti putting a DVD-A system in the new M it should give the DVD-A format a real boost.

I know someone posted this already, but I went last night to look for Linkin Park's DVD-A Reanimation.

Went to Circuit City, Best Buy, Alwik and Sam Goody...of which none had the disc and the ones that did have DVD-A discs they had few selections. All basically said they don't sell well which is why they don't carry them. Kind of dissappointing.

It was posted before about BB & CC not carrying DVD-As. Fry's carries as few as does Tower. Best bet is to purchase online. Pankul listed most of them and the cost is pretty decent. For more info about DVD-A click here and SACD, click here. DualDisc can be found here. Check out Nine Inch Nails Downward Spiral on Dualdisc. Linkin Park Reanimation $11.95 at Digital Eyes.
