Driver 1 detected not showing

Got a 2006 TL. I used to unlock the car door and it'd say driver 1 detected. It no longer says that. Any way to relink the remote. The remote still unlocks/locks and opens the trunk. I wanted to enable the doors to lock when I shifted to drive/park but its saying can't customize until remote is linked. Anyway to relink and make the screen display Driver 1 Detected? Also has my dash lights dim when I turn on the headlights

Yes-- that would be under the "Remote Transmitter" section of your owner's manual, excerpted as follows:
"You can turn off this driving position
memory activation. [This means "to unlink the remote," BTW]
Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK
buttons at the same time. The LED in the
remote transmitter will blink twice.
Then release the buttons. Doing this
also cancels the keyless memory
settings for that remote and restores
the default settings.
To turn it back on [i.e. to link the remote],
repeat this procedure. The LED will come on
for 1 second to indicate the feature
has been turned on."

Per the manual on the instrument panel lights: Push the "Max" button once to get out of "night" mode.

The owner's and navi manuals can be viewed on-line @ the Acura owner website, even if you do not create an ID.
