Double Din Aftermark Install? Any Regrets?

What's good everyone?

I have a few questions for those of you who have non-navi TL's and have installed aftermarket decks but more specifically the double din ones.

I recently purchased a non-navi TL (I looked for over a month for a low KM TL with Navi for a decent price.... it wasn't happening) but wasn't too concerned when I found my non-navi TL because I had a very good double din w/ Navi (Clarion NX700) in my old car that I took out.

After buying the TL, I realized it wasn't as simple as I thought. So, I found someone who has the double din kit and was going to purchase it then I thought I would check with AcuraZine first!

So, I have a bunch of questions for those who have switched over to an aftermarket setup:

1. Did anyone of you change over to an aftermarket radio setup and regret it? Or, are you still enjoying it?
2. Did everything go smoothly with the install? Any post install issues?
3. Did anyone install a steering wheel module with it? How is that working for you?
4. Do you miss your OEM Bluetooth?
5. For those who have a deck with bluetooth, were you able to use the OEM mic or did you have to re-run the new one?

I am just looking for input on the swap to get an idea if it is worth the effort before digging into this "fun" electrical adventure !

Let me know!

You know there are a couple of threads on the audio section you should check out with all your answers and IIRC pictures.

I don't regret it one bit. Some people like to keep the stock radio but I personally love the way the double din looks. You will lose front center speaker and stock sub function but I have a 12 inch sub so I don't even notice and you will get some distortion in the speakers most likely. I also have a backup camera installed and the steering wheel controls work just fine. I took out my HFL unit because it was causing my car to die overnight because of battery drain from the part going out but my new headunit has Bluetooth function and I ran the mic along the steering wheel column and behind the dash and it works great. I also ran a usb plug-in.

Sorry for the pics looking all wacky on the layout. You can check out what I started a couple of years ago and just finished if you'd like. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/new-stereo-backup-camera-install-2006-tl-855212/

There is google and plus the audio section isn't clustered with thousands of threads like the other sections. I saw 2 or 3 on the first page including ct10989...........just saying.
