Door Settings

I have an 05 Acura 3.2 TL and I am having an issue changing my door lock settings.

I want to change my settings to where I shift from park the doors lock and when I shift to park the doors unlock.

I have read the manual and tried several times and I still haven't been able to change anything.

Was the answer provided in the other thread you posted not sufficient for you?

You do not have a "3.2 TL," BTW, if you have a 2005 TL.

correction, 3.2 TL's range from 04-08.
only the 07-08 type-s received the 3.5l engine

OP, are you setting it up in the MID?
there should be an option where it says user settings/options.
then when scrolling through this, there will be an option to set locks to lock/unlock

No, the "3.2 TL" moniker was dropped after 2003. The car is just the "TL" if you have any 3G TL. Just nitpicking on his terminology. I have a 2004, BTW.

That's what I told him in the other thread he posted earlier this week in which he asked exactly the same question (that's also why I was a bit snide in my reply—why start another thread asking exactly the same thing?). Scroll the MID (for the OP, that's the display where the odometer is) to "Keyless Entry Settings" using the rocker switch with the two arrows. Then hit the "Select/Reset" button (just press it, do not hold). It will bring up a submenu with three options and you want the one for changing the settings. You then want to change the "AUTO DOOR LOCK" option. I don't have an automatic, so I do not know whether there is an option for doing it when you shift out of "park" (with the 6MT, I have it set to lock when I hit 10 mph and to unlock when I turn off the car).

I haven't looked at my owner's manual recently, but I know all this is in there. It's most likely under "Multi-Information Display" (I believe that's what MID stands for, though I'm not 100% positive because I've said MID for over six years now).

you're correct on all accounts.

heres a little nitpicking on you, because I'm in a good mood.
Even though the moniker was dropped we still have that 3.2 in our bay.
its still a 3.2 TL

I have a six speed and set mine at 10mph as well.

Just press the next button below the display with MPG and MPH until you reach Key Settings then just press select. You can change your options in there
