Dom's installation

Hey guys,

I recently got Dom's unit, but I'm in a bit of a stump. There's a wire that has the switch button on it already, but it's not long enough to reach the front driver area if I place the unit in the trunk. The instructions say to "connect at 20 pin connector at the factory navigation located either in the trunk or under the seat", but I don't think there's anything under the front seats. Anyone have a clue what to do to solve this dilema?

No dilemma, you need to extend the switch all the way up to the front.

So should I cut the wire for the button and add an extension? The issue is that the button is already wired, with one end to the button and the other to the plug that connects to the unit.

I had to do the same.

Cut halfway between the button and the plug and extend the wires.
I used 20 AWG wire, and 4 butt connectors to join them.
