I thought Dolby Surround only worked on the CDs and DVDs. Check the owner's manual on that.
If not, maybe blown/defective speakers or head unit, maybe?
Then see the dealer.

not sure what you mean. the surround sound is only used with DVD-Audio discs that have it encoded on the disc. I remember the difference on tapes with Dolby on/off.. there was a slight buzzing sound depending on the type of tape.

I haven't used tapes for it.

I used cd, mp3 cd, xm radio which the manual described that they are suppost to work with Dolby logic 2

I'm confused..

Dolby logic 2 isn't true surround sound that I know of.. The TLs use DTS ELS Surround.

No, 04 & 05 do not have it. I think it appeared in the 06 or 07 model year.

But all's not lost. Check this thread The Adobinizer, My 2.0 to 5.1 Audio Converter for DVD-A . More work than just pressing a button on the head unit but those with Pro Logic have said mine sounds better to them.

Hey adobe - are you saying that the '04's do not have 5.1 surround? I may be misreading your quote.

All 3G's do have full 5.1 surround (although it may not be actual Dolby surround)

If I just made an obvious statement, and I'm not getting something here - just ignore me

does anyone having same problem that I have??

I tried mp3 CDs , retail music CDs , tapes...

All of them giving me annoying noises.. ( same sorta noise when you turn on tv when you don't get good signals.. Ya know.. Billions of black and gray dots all over and gives you buzzing noise )

Is my audio possibly deffective?

How does it work? If I turn it on while the music is playing???
