Does TL play all DVD video discs as DVD-A?

Does TL play all DVD video discs as DVD-A?
I bought Simple Plans dual disc that is cd on one side and DVD-V on the other... I put it in on the DVD side for fun, and it plays full surround DVD-A and says the disc is a DVD-A... is this a fluck or has anyone tried this with other music?
