Is there a way to transfer my phone contacts to the car via bluetooth or do I have to manually input them in the car? I have a friend whose BMW does this but I haven't been able to figure it out on my TL

(Sorry for posting a question that might be covered in the manual but I forgot my manual at my parent's house during Thanksgiving)

 

The Acura TL doesn't support OBEX transfer from the phone. It maintains it's own phone list that you will need to enter via voice.

I thought so too Acuranewbie....had to sit for about an hour and program them in...and then just started doing them one at a time while I was driving?

 

yeah it's not the end of the world but it would still be nice if it did it automatically, is our bluetooth capabilities software-based and if so is there a chance that an upgrade will be released?

 

I don't think the system was designed to sync contacts off the phone. I highly doubt it will happen.... maybe on the next redesign of the TL.

Does the RL even sync contacts via OBEX? I didn't think it did.
