does anyone know how to wire puddle lights with a master/multifunction switch?
hey guys, after searching i have been unable to find anyone who has done puddle lights with the option of running puddle lights (along with footwell lighting) on a master switch (ie footwell lighting while car is in motion with puddles off, or even being able to switch the puddle lights on at will (in addition to dome supervision function). any thoughts? i figure worst case scenario i could just have the puddle lights as fade on/off with unlock/lock and run 2 sets of strips for footwell lighting... any ideas or input is appreciated, thanks!

It makes more sense to wire them like that, but it requires more work. You would need to hide wire going from dome lights, under roof headliner, under A pillar cover, etc.
How to wire it? Easiest way to tap into one of dome light wires. According to service manual:
"White" wire going from front dome lights to rear dome lights would make most sense (easiest). Of course test it before making any connections.
Put multimeter between always +12V source and this wire, and check if voltage follows lights and switch.
