I like my TL bluetooth(when I'm alone), but I don't like when anyone is listening to my conversations. I went ahead and got a bluetooth headset instead. I deleted my phone from my TL bluetooth. Now everytime I turn my car on and I have my phone's bluetooth setting ON, my TL thinks I'm trying to merge them. I get a "Bluetooth can not be activated throught the phone" (or something like that) from the car. Is there any way I can disable the phone option in my TL?

 

disable the auto connect to the car on the phone side.

 

either that, or just delete HandsFree Link from your phone.

 

I know what you mean by that being annoying.

On your phone, you can choose which bluetooth connections are active. Simply deactivate the Handsfreelink one. Taking the check out of the box does that for me without actually deleting it.

 

I took handslinkfree off my phone when I got my headset, I thought that would take care of this problem but it keeps doing the same thing. I also deleted my phone from handsfreelink on my TL. I dont see why it keeps trying to connect.

 

your phone is set to being discoverable. turn that off on your phone and that will solve your problem.....
