Dice Silverline R4 Failue to initialize

Goodday fellas,
I'm in the process of installing my Dice unit and while testing it worked initially but now whenever I plug in my iphone or 1gen nano it just sits there and says init on the screen and won't work with the ipod/phone. I can click play on either and sound will come through but none of the car controls will work. I tried pulling the fuse to the radio to let it reset but that did not seem to help. I reset my iphone as well and nothing.

I have a 05tl w/nav. What do you guys think could be the issue? any suggestions on how to fix this?

You might need to update your iPod's software. If you still have an issue call DICE customer service. They are very good at problem solving.

Ahhh... You flipped a dip switch with the module plugged in. This causes the module to freeze. Unplugging it for 30 seconds resets the module.

Problem I'm noticing now is that I can not browse through the tracks from the head unit, I thought we were able to turn the TUNE dial and it would scroll through the tracks and you had to stop on one for about 1 sec to select it? I've read the manual but maybe I'm missing something.

This is correct. If your radio is on PRESET 1 using your TRACK UP/TRACK DOWN or on some radio's the TUNE dial, you can scroll through tracks. Each preset has it's own function. Then using the TUNE know scrolls through that selected function. For example, I think PRESET 3 is the ARTIST function. When you press PRESET 3 your screen will display ARTIST, if in TEXT mode. Then when you turn the knob your screen will start scrolling through your artists. Every iPod function has a designated presest button on your radio. TRACK, ARTIST, ALBUM, PLAYLIST and then presets 5 and 6 are to change settings on your DICE adapter.

Read through your user manual to find this stuff.
