Hi,

I just had a new module installed in my TL 2006 (Canadian model without XM button and Nav) to get audio from my Ipod or Auxiliary input. The module is a simple Dension Gateway 100 that you can plug directly in the unused socket behind the radio head unit (External CD changer socked).

Now here is my problem:
When I press the CD/DVD button I now get the new CD-C mode shown on the radio screen, fine. I plug my old Ipod Nano 2G to the wire that interfaces with the unit and it power up. I'm able to use the Ipod to start a music and I'm able the hear it through the radio system. However, the sound is quiet and I don't have any control of the ipod. I can only change the radio volume! I can see that the ipod is charging which is good but I don't see anything on the screen indicating that the Dension module is connected... it should according to the manual. I should also be able to turn over the control from the ipod to factory buttons on the radio and steering wheel which is not the case...

Questions:

Does anyone have tried to install this model on a Canadian TL (2006 or other years)?

Someone said me that I need the radio model with the XM button... not sure if it is right since I can get the CD-C mode and hear the music.

I tried to look around for documentation and compatibility issues and support from Dension Web site but no success so far. Please help!
