Make sure your gauge cluster brightness is set 1 down from max and your problem should be fixed! If that doesn't do it, then the issue is the daylight sensor on the 2007+ TL's. It'll see that it's bright outside and over-ride the headlight switch.

it might be that you have your Gauge light dial....if thats the name for it. if you have it set to low then your navi will stay dark during the day time..so next time you think ya screen is dark then play with that its on the left side of the steering wheel

Thanks alot!! All I needed to do was turn the gauge lights one down from max, i was getting tired of manually switching from day/night and thought it was a glitch lol. but i would love it if i can keep it on max though...i like people looking at it

Note that the "MAX" button on the dash acts as a toggle between max brightness and the brightness you set with the up/down button. This is very useful on rainy days, for example, when you need to turn on your headlights during the day but you don't want the dashboard lights and the Navi to go to the night setting. Using "MAX" in this way eliminates the need to adjust things manually.
