Daylight Savings Auto Time

I noticed that in our cars, Navi at least, the clock automatically changes for day light savings. I assume it's due to programming of set days in the calendar for the car. What would happen in 2007 when day light savings gets pushed back for a month?

The Navi equipped TLs will set automatically with the GPS. It is essentially an atomic clock.

Yep, it actually synchronizes with the satellites every time you start the car.

I didn't know it sync'd up with the GPS, so if you drive it to another time zone it automatically changes. That is a really great feature.

Yepper. If you are really clever, you can drive across a Time Zone to celebrate New Years twice!

so I guess the new 5 series BMW has a 2 way system on their GPS? that's how the car in the commercial calls the service dept?

i'd rather have a 2 way system, not for calling acura but for other things.

Unless I'm mistaken (and I may be), it is just dialing a call on your cell phone via bluetooth.
